Oral mucosa의 painful, shallow ulcer로 원인은 불분명하다.

Antimicrobial mouthwashes, topical analgesics와 같은 topical medication은 회복을
촉진시키거나 재발율을 줄여주지 못하며, 통증을 경감시켜주는 목적으로 사용한다.

PFAPA (Periodic fever, Stomatitis, Pharyngitis, Cervical adenitis symdrome)
(1) 드물게 PFAPA이 2~6에 아이에게 동반될 수 있다.
(2) 이 증상은 주로 4~6일 지속되고 재발할 수 있다.
(3) 재발한다는 점이 진단에 도움이 되고 viral infection과 구분하기 힘들다.
(4) Oral steroid에 잘 반응하여 24시간 내 호전된다.
