(1) Cough and Nasal Congestion
① 대개 viral respiratory infection에 의한다.
② Underlying lung ds.가 있는 신생아는 단순 viral 감염도 치명적일 수 있으므로 주의를 요하며,
T-E fistula, Reflux, Aspiration의 영향일 수 있기에 feeding과 연관이 있는지 확인해야 한다.
③ Crying 시 호전되는 respiratory difficulty는 choanal atresia를 의미하며 Cough 자체는
protective mechanism, over the counter cold medication의 처방은 neonate에서 금기다.
(2) Noisy Breathing and Stridor
① Noisy breathing은 대개 정상이다.
② Stertor : Inspiratory sound, 코 고는 소리처럼 들리며 보통 benign
③ Stridor
: Both inspiration and expiration
: 상기도 협착이 원인 - laryngomalacia, tracheal web/atresia/stenosis, vocal cord paralysis 감별
